Free Comic Book Day - Iron Man and Thor

Free Comic Book Day: Free Comics Every 20 Minutes at HeavyInk

Wahey, today is Free Comic Book Day. Or at least it is if you live in North America; though many comic stores in the UK and around the world do also participate.

So take it upon yourself to journey onwards to your nearest comic book store and demand a freebee. But for those who aren’t lucky enough to live near a physical, “real” comic store (which is sadly becoming more and more common) some sites are also offering free books.

HeavyInk.com is offering free comics to anyone who wants them. No purchase is necessary, and the books are mailed to your door free of charge, first class.

From the press release:

Starting at 10am on May 1st (this Saturday!), we’re going to put up a new free comic book every 20 minutes at http://heavyink.com/fcbd. Just click the “Get Free Comic” button to grab a copy.

Not only are we giving away the comics, but we’re subsidizing the USPS First Class shipping!  (yes, our bookkeeper is hyperventilating about this … but we think it’s going to work out well).

Twenty minutes later that comic will disappear and be replaced with a new one, all day long.

Check back often to snap up additional free comic books.

We usually brag that everything we sell is 20% off, and shipping is as cheap as 99 cents … but when you start with a free comic book, a 20% discount on top of “free” doesn’t really matter!

We hope to see you there this Saturday!

The store also offers a 20% discount off everything and 99 cent shipping for all graphic novels or when shipping 3 or more comics. Visit http://heavyink.com for the FCBD countdown page, and get ready to grab some goodies.
