November 3, 2014 Carl Doherty Leave a comment

The Gifted, the debut book from publisher Creative Mind Energy, is proof of how versatile the comic book medium can be, not just in its unique visual style but also its distinctive approach to storytelling.

ABOUT

Shelf Abuse started as a comic book blog with a focus on creator-own titles, but over the years it's learned to accommodate all forms of storytelling, including literature, art books, film and narrative-driven video games. Sometimes others contribute their opinions, sometimes it's just me.

Following the release of my first novel, I'll be moving away from writing reviews, and focussing on storytelling in general as well as chronicling on my own journey as an indie author. Do feel to get in touch with your creative projects, but also be aware that I currently receive more review and news requests than I could ever respond to. Apologies to those whose emails I have no choice but to ignore.
-Carl
