Actually, it’s been out for a few days, but anyway… after what seemed like, and apparently was, months of public testing, Gazillion’s free-to-play MMO Marvel Heroes is now open to the unwashed masses (i.e. those who didn’t see fit to invest in a $200 ultimate founders pack).
While Iron Man 3 has seen an onslaught of toys, clothing and other assorted crap (though I do want a Lego Ben Kingsley) to coincide with Marvel’s big release, there’s the conspicuous absence of a video game adaptation. That is, until you realise that the customary major console release has been replaced by a Facebook update, a PC free-to-play and a tablet game.
After what seems like years of teasing us with snazzy concept art and pre-purchase incentives, Marvel Heroes will be free-to-play from June 4th.
