New Titan Book Site Launched

Graphic novel and movie tie-in publisher Titan Books has launched its new website at www.titanbooks.com, timed to coincide with the San Diego Comic-Con. Unlike your average publisher website, however, there’s a great blog section here that’s already brimming with interviews with such creators as Mike Carey and Frank Quitely.

From the press release:

As part of Titan Books’ over-arching digital strategy, which has included the launch of iPhone and iPad apps earlier this year, the new site is uniquely designed to offer up-to-the-minute news on Titan’s variety of titles. Fall highlights include Icons: The DC Comics and Wildstorm Art of Jim Lee, The Art of Drew Struzan, The Simon and Kirby Superheroes and Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog: the Book. The website will collaborate with related sites and use social media to communicate with the comics and entertainment community.

The blog: run by Titan’s Bookseller Awards short-listed marketing team, this will feature:

Exclusive interviews with Titan’s authors and artists – launching with an exclusive video interview with comics legend Joe Simon.

Guest blogs will be compiled by authors and experts in the entertainment world, such as spoken word artist Scroobius Pip.

Sample chapters, exclusive sneak previews, video clips of games and films, quizzes and behind-the-scenes news from the Titan staff.

Competitions Page: For 30 days from August 2nd there will be a new competition featured on the site daily. Prizes include original artwork, props from hit TV shows such as CSI and Firefly, as well as a plethora of signed books, DVDs and CDs.
