Adventure Time competition

The folks at Titan Books have been kind enough to offer Shelf Abuse several competition copies of the Adventure Time trade paperbacks, based on the wacky hit Cartoon Network show.

The Goodies:

There are 2 sets of the following 3 volumes to win:

Adventure Time Volume 2 follows Finn and Jake as they get hold of Princess Bubblegum’s time machine and travel into the future.

Adventure Time: Marceline and the Scream QueensAdventure Time: Marceline and the Scream Queens

Marceline and the Scream Queens follows the riot grrrl rock-fuelled excitement of Marceline and Princess Bubblegum.

All three of these volumes will be available in the UK by the end of this month, courtesy of Titan Books.

The Competition

Entering the competition is simple. Just answer the laughably straightforward question below:

What is your favourite Adventure Time episode, line or moment?

… BUT WAIT, for there are four routes through which thou can enter, strange one:

  1. Enter your answer in the comments section below (be sure to include your email address).
  2. Email contact@shelfabuse.com with the answer.
  3. Enter via the competition message on the Shelf Abuse Facebook page.
  4. Enter by responding to the competition message on the Shelf Abuse Twitter page.

Participants may enter once in each of the above options – giving you a total of four attempts at entry (that’s what she said). Also, be sure to sign up to Facebook/Twitter for news of further competitions (and rest assured of the “Shelf Abuse hates spam” promise).

Competition ends at 11.59pm on the 25th June, and is open to UK residents only.

Please, refrain from spamming or using cuss words in your responses, and we’ll all do our best to keep this a relatively family friendly competition.

The Small Print Stuff

This competition is open only to residents of the United Kingdom. Sorry, everybody else, you just don’t count.

Competition ends at 11.59pm on the 25th June. The winners will drawn at random using a number generator and be announced on this page. Winners will be contacted and asked for their address, and will be required to reply within 2 weeks of contact in order to claim their prize. Titan Books will send the prizes out to the winning participants, and Shelf Abuse holds no responsibility for their safe arrival.

Participants may enter once in each of the above options – spamming any of the above will result in your email address being “blacklisted”. No, I haven’t yet worked out how that will work, either.

  1. episode where they are in haunted house and jake hijacks finns prank is my fave and when jake sees beemo get taken by ghost the line oh my crease oh my crease

  2. So many to pick from!

Lemongrab yelling “dungeon! One million years” is hilarious. The episode What Was Missing was brilliant because of Marcelline’s song when she opens the door. It sounds like The Pixies! Similarly, her “Daddy, why did you eat my fries” is touching.

My favourite, though, is Dungeon. Demon Cat with “approximate knowledge of many things” – brilliant. “Lock hand – key hand” with Jake. The Guardian Angel “lady – you’re sick”. It’s a fantastic episode. I’m going to watch it again now!

  3. my fav moment is the 1 where the little sweet tells them not tp pick him up and cuddle him, which the do and he farts classic

  4. Favourite episode is From Bad to Worse: “Aw, no, I am not getting eaten by zombies tonight” Lumpy Space Princess is my favourite 🙂

  5. My favourite moment is when Jake turns over in the pocket right at the end of the episode and farts.

  6. My favourite episode has to be the Dungeon, where Jake meets the cat with the huge amount of knowledge (but cannot remember to call Jake by the right name). It’s a great homage to all those D&D games I’ve played, and the plethora of dungeons I’ve traversed through in video games. It’s also a very very funny episode!
